Bizee started in the spare bedroom of co-founder Kyle Lavender's apartment, with limited resources and no outside funding. Business formation orders came in over the phone, were logged by hand in a filing cabinet, and checks were written manually to the state for each filing. Every order was handled with care because the team knew what was at stake for the person on the other end of the phone.

That small, determined team understood the challenges of starting a business because they were living them. As the business grew, the team moved into its first commercial space in Houston — furnished with IKEA furniture to keep costs low and focus on what mattered: helping entrepreneurs get their businesses off the ground.
